Establishing a culture of reflective learning or reflective practice is central to systems that are responsive to the complex needs of children and families. Reflective learning in the child welfare sector is an important way to integrate and generate new knowledge towards innovative ways of working and the development of new services, programs and practice responses.  A culture of reflective learning and practice builds capacity and strengthens the workforce.  That learning can be translated into knowledge and made available for other practitioners. The sharing of knowledge through reflection and collaboration is impactful.
